Breakfast Fruit Drinks

Breakfast Fruit Drinks

Incorporating fruity breakfast drinks into your diet can be a welcome change. Breakfast drinks can help make use of overripe fruit and they're fast and easy to take on the go. They are also a good way to sneak extra vitamins into your child's morning. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Homemade Juices

You don't necessarily need a juicer to make homeade fruit juice, but it does make the process easier. Juicers are equipped to handle the bulk of raw fruits better than a blender. If you choose to attempt juicing with your blender, it is better to use softer fruits such as banans, grapes, strawberries, etc. The variety of juices which can be made are limited only by your personal preferences. When using a juicer, consider including the peels and rinds, as these contain extra nutrients.

Smoothies

Making a fruity breakfast smoothie basically consists of adding fruit and milk to a blender and mixing them into a semi-thick breakfast drink. Blend a banana, five strawberries and a cup of milk in your blender for an easy smoothie. Mix until your drink achieves a smooth texture and serve right away.

Fruit Coolers

Fruit coolers are ideal for hot summer mornings. Place two cups of watermelon and 1 1/2 cups of pineapple chunks into a plastic freezer bag and place in the freezer until frozen. In the morning, pour the frozen fruit into the blender and blend just until silghtly liquified. If the mixture does not liquify enough, you can add one cup of fruit juice or water in order to assist with the blending process.

Instant Breakfast Mixes

Visit the breakfast cereal aisle of your supermarket or health food store. There are several fruit inspired instant breakfast mixes which can be mixed with milk or water.
