Giving your baby anything other than formula or breast milk can be scary for parents, especially the first time. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends waiting until a baby is 6 months old before starting juice and solid foods. For parents who feel their baby is ready to try juice, there are few steps to follow to prevent upset stomach and ensure that baby's first non-milk beverage is a big success.

    Mix half a part juice to 4 parts purified water in a clean bottle or sippy cup.
