Prevpac Instructions

Prevpac is a prescription medication used to treat and prevent the return stomach or intestinal ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori, a bacteria that causes most incidents of stomach inflammation and ulcers. Prevpac is classified as a proton pump inhibitor and works to prevent the production of stomach acid, helping ulcers heal. It comes as a blister packet, with each packet containing two antibiotics. Speak with your doctor about any preexisting medical conditions or medications that interfere with the effectiveness of this drug. Follow your doctor's instruction while taking this medication.

Instructions

Prevpac Therapy Pack

    1

    Take Prevpac by mouth per your doctor's instructions. Typically, patients take a Prevpac therapy packet with two antibiotics twice daily before a meal, usually in the morning and in the evening.

    Swallow the entire Prevpac capsules whole. Do not crush or break the medication.

    Take the entire dose of Prevpac prescribed by your doctor.

    Continue this prescription for the duration instructed by your doctor. Stopping this medication without your doctor's instruction may result in a bacterial re-infection.

    Take this medication regularly and at evenly spaced intervals.

    If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember during the day of the missed dose. If you do not remember your missed dose until the next day, do not take the missed dose and continue on your regular dose schedule.

    Speak with your doctor if your medical condition persists or gets worse.

    Store Prevpac in a tightly sealed container at room temperature away from heat, light and moisture.
