Fresh fruit and vegetable juices are one of the healthiest things you can regularly put in your body. From the Vitamin C delivered by fresh grapefruit juice to the iron of leafy vegetable juice made from spinach and kale, fresh juices help stave off illness and promote general health. Though making the juices at home is the healthiest way to go about it, juicing regularly can be expensive. However, with certain tips, juicing can be quite affordable. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Instructions
- 1
Invest in a mid-range centrifugal juicer, which will work for any kind of fruit or vegetable.
2Juice fruits and vegetables that are in season, which will be cheaper than out-of-season vegetables.
3If you drink juice daily, buy your fruits and vegetables in large amounts at warehouse stores or directly from farms. If you are dealing directly with a local farmer, ask about volume discounts.
4Grow your own fruits and vegetables, or check www.freecycle.org for backyard gardeners giving away bags of surplus fruits and vegetables.
