Postnasal drip is a minor condition in which access mucus accumulates in the back of your throat. Treating postnasal drip depends on the cause and is usually centered around the reduction of phlegm in the nose and throat. Postnasal drip usually improves through home remedies such as drinking plenty of fluids like juices, but occasionally may require doctor-prescribed medications. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Grapple Juice
1/2 cup grape juice (not from concentrate)
1/2 cup unfiltered apple juice (not from concentrate)
Mix juices together and lightly gargle before swallowing. Drink once in the morning and once at night. If mixture is too strong, you can dilute with water as desired.
Cranberry Fizzy
1 cup organic cranberry juice (not from concentrate)
1 cup sparkling mineral water
1 lime, squeezed
1/2 teaspoon salt
Combine ingredients and shake well. Drink throughout the day. It helps to soothe a sore throat, kill germs and break up phlegm.
Vinegar and Lime
1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar
1 medium lime, juiced
