What Foods Will Reduce Acid Reflux?

Acid reflux occurs when the acid from the stomach backs up into the esophagus, causing a sensation commonly referred to as heartburn. Several types of medication are available in prescription and over-the-counter form to control the condition, but prevention begins at the dining table. Some foods are more likely to trigger acid reflux, while others can reduce its effects.

Meats

    Try to avoid alcoholic beverages, coffee, carbonation and tea.
