Fast food, alcohol, sugary coffee drinks and even the air we breathe at times contain toxins that enter our bodies. Although our bodies work hard to eliminate these toxins, it is inevitable that some toxins are stored and begin to build up. These toxins can cause health problems ranging from allergies to an inability to lose weight. Fasting is a great way to give your liver and kidneys a break from their normal routine of breaking down new matter and to allow them to work on eliminating stored toxins.

Do not eat anything for six hours before going to bed on the evening before you begin your fast.
2Drink a mug of hot green tea upon waking.
3Drink an 8-ounce glass of juice at each mealtime.
4Drink water constantly throughout the day.
