Homemade lemonade from freshly squeezed lemons is a refreshing beverage that many people enjoy. It is usually made in a large pitcher, but sometimes you may want a smaller quantity. You may have only one lemon on hand, or you may want to make just one glass of lemonade for yourself. The process is simpler than you think, but there are ways to dress it up if you'd like to be a bit more adventurous. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Instructions
- 1
Place a sieve over your glass. This will prevent seeds from falling in your glass while you are juicing the lemon.
2Cut the lemon in half. Stick a fork or citrus reamer into one half of the lemon, and squeeze and twist the lemon half, squeezing the juice into the sieve. Using the fork or reamer helps to extract as much juice as possible.
3Add as much sugar or sweetener as you like. Dissolve it in the lemon juice by stirring vigorously.
4Add water until the glass is about 3/4 full. Add ice, then stir to mix the lemon syrup and the water.
