VLCDs involve consuming between 1500 and 1800 calories per day and should only be carried out with strict supervision by a doctor. Three months is the maximum amount of time that a VLCD should be used to remain safe. No diet-related fatalities have been reported from a VLCD in more than 10,000 cases studied. Avoid Saturated Fats
According to the American Heart Association, saturated fat intake should be less than 7 percent of total daily calories and is a leading cause of obesity. Successful extreme weight loss diets are extremely low in saturated fats. If you want to lose weight, you need to avoid fast food at all costs. Fast food has more saturated fat than any other type of food. For example, an Angus Deluxe from McDonald's has 16g of saturated fat, and a Double Whopper from Burger King has 19g of saturated fat.
Drink Water

Stimulating the metabolism is one of the most important parts of losing weight rapidly. Drinking water actually goes a long way when it comes to stimulating the metabolism, so drink water throughout the day, anywhere from one to two gallons of water daily when trying to lose weight.
Exercise Daily
Successful extreme weight loss diets are focused around daily exercise. However, if you're using a very low calorie diet, you should not be exercising. Try making a list of exercises that you enjoy. Exercising is significantly easier when you're taking part in activities you enjoy. Swimming, biking, running, hiking and rowing are all great exercises for losing weight quickly. When exercising, try to elevate your heart rate as much as possible. If you exercise daily, drink water and avoid saturated fats, then you should be able to lose weight extremely fast!
