    Understand that, other than the nutrition and goodness of the tea itself, you are also consuming a cup of water. Since it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to recognize that your stomach is full, drink a cup of tea 20 to 30 minutes before you eat each meal. Be aware, however, that drinking hot tea or coffee with caffeine can inhibit the iron absorption from the food you are eating.
