Losing 30 pounds fast is relatively simple if done correctly and healthfully. However, extreme exercise routines or quick fixes like diet pills can end up doing more harm than good. Sticking to well-balanced meals, avoiding night time eating, drinking plenty of water and getting plenty of exercise consistently will cause weight loss over the course of a month. Losing 30 pounds in a shorter time period can be unsafe as it usually involves supplements, unsafe practices and fad diets that cannot be maintained over the long-term, resulting in eventual regain.
Instructions
- 1
Drink at least eight 8-oz. glasses of water daily. When the body is dehydrated it retains any water to store it for future use, which can make you feel bloated and weigh more. Dehydration may also trigger the body's hunger mechanism when, in fact, you may only need fluids. Four percent of urine is composed of fats; therefore the more frequent the urination the more fats and water lost.
2Eat more balanced meals. Severely limit fattening and sugary foods, and never skip meals. Skipping meals interferes with the body's metabolism and tricks the body into thinking it's starving; this causes the body to store any food it does receive. Try keeping your caloric intake to 1,400 per day.
3Start exercising five times a week for about a half hour. Walking is a great fat-burning option for beginners as it is easy to perform and comes with a low risk of injury.
4Try limiting or even eliminating carbohydrates from the diet after 5 p.m. Replace butter with olive oil and soda with water and 100 percent fruit juices and teas. Eliminate processed foods that stimulate insulin production from the diet. If your blood contains high amounts of insulin, your body will not convert fats and proteins and will prevent you from losing weight.
